Up to 3 times more engagement than classic SMS
What is RCS?
Rich Communication Service (RCS), often called “SMS 2.0,” continues to redefine how businesses communicate with their customers. Thanks to enhanced features and increasing adoption, this technology has become a powerful lever for interactive and engaging campaigns.
There are two types of RCS:
- Push: messages triggered by the brand to convey information or prompt an action.
- Conversational: messages enabling two-way exchanges between the brand and the customer.
How does it work?
- 60% of mobile devices are now compatible with RCS, thanks to greater integration by operators and manufacturers.
- By the end of 2025, it is estimated that 80% of smartphones worldwide will support RCS, including accelerated adoption in key markets.
- For iPhones, RCS has been compatible since iOS 18 (released September 2024).
